On the morning of January 6, 2009, the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between European Certification Organization Corporation (ECO) and China National Construction Machinery Quality Supervision and Inspection Center (SYC) was officially held in Yanqing, Beijing. At the same time, well-known domestic engineering machinery production enterprises such as Shanhe Intelligent, Zhonglian Zhongke, Sany Heavy Industry, and Futian Heavy Industry attended the meeting.

The areas involved in this cooperation between the two parties include CE and E/e-Mark certification for the export of engineering machinery products to the European Union, technical exchanges, trade cooperation, etc. The person in charge of SYC stated that ECO, as a notified body officially authorized by the European Union to issue EC assessment certificates, has successfully served world-renowned manufacturing enterprises in the field of engineering machinery and vehicle certification with its authoritative, impartial, and rigorous service attitude and professional technology. I hope that with the joint efforts of both parties, we can promote technical exchanges between China and foreign countries, effectively disseminate EU technology policies and regulations to Chinese enterprises, thereby improving the internationalization level of China's construction machinery products and promoting the development of China's construction machinery industry.

Meanwhile, Dr. Carlo Farina, Chairman of ECO, mentioned that amidst the global economic downturn, China has vast market prospects in the manufacturing and export of construction machinery products. Chinese enterprises still maintain a strong export momentum, and the construction machinery products exported from China have price advantages compared to their foreign counterparts. However, there is still a certain gap in overall quality control, technological level, and foreign regulations and standards. Enterprises need to shift from copying products from well-known foreign companies to the stage of independent development, while also ensuring quality control, taking foreign product certification seriously, and guaranteeing the consistency of production products.

Since ECO entered China, many problems have been discovered in the process of providing certification services to enterprises, such as low quality technical documents, numerous product non conformities, and unsatisfactory test reports. ECO established its holding company in China, Luoyang Yizhong Technology Consulting Co., Ltd., at the end of 2007 to provide high-quality certification services to more Chinese enterprises. And this collaboration with the authoritative domestic engineering machinery testing institution SYC has achieved an effective service model that combines certification, testing, and consulting. We hope that through this service model, we can greatly improve service quality, enhance product and enterprise technology levels, and bring more business opportunities to Chinese enterprises.
