Three wheeled moped (motorized pedal dual-use vehicle), maximum speed of 45km/h, maximum displacement of ignition type internal combustion engine 50cc, or maximum power of other types of internal combustion engines 4kW, or maximum power of electric motor 4kW

 

L3e

Two wheeled motorcycle, without side cars, with an internal combustion engine displacement greater than 50cc and/or a maximum speed greater than 45km/h

 

L4e

Two wheeled motorcycle, with side cars, internal combustion engine displacement greater than 50cc, and/or maximum speed greater than 45km/h

 

L5e

Motor Tricycle, symmetrically arranged with three wheels, internal combustion engine displacement greater than 50cc, and/or maximum speed greater than 45km/h

 

L6e

Light quadcycle, four-wheel, with a maximum unloaded mass of less than 350kg (excluding battery mass if electric), a maximum speed of 45km/h, a maximum displacement of 50cc for spark ignition internal combustion engines, or a maximum power of 4kW for other types of internal combustion engines, or a maximum power of 4kW for electric motors. This type of vehicle needs to comply with the relevant requirements of L2e vehicles, unless otherwise specified in the directive.

 

L7e

Quadricycle, four-wheel, with a maximum unloaded mass of less than 400kg, or less than 550kg for cargo vehicles (excluding battery mass if electric), and a maximum net power of the engine or motor of less than 15kW. This type of vehicle needs to comply with the relevant requirements of L5e category vehicles, unless otherwise specified in the directive.
