ECO, the European Certification Organization, has officially established a cooperative relationship with the Maltese Ministry of Transport in the field of E/e-mark type certification. After the manufacturer conducts type certification in our company and the relevant documents meet the requirements of the directive, they can obtain the E/e-mark certificate (E/e 50) issued by the Maltese Ministry of Transport. The authentication process is as follows:

1. Factory condition assessment requirements:

-The factory must have a current ISO9000 or equivalent quality system certification issued by a CNAS authorized accreditation body, or

-The factory has a factory evaluation certificate issued by a European certification agency;

2. Requirements for applying for type approval documents:

-Formal application documents;

-Type approval application form, the manufacturer needs to fill out the application form with company letterhead paper, signed by the legal representative and stamped with the official seal;

-Fill in information documents according to relevant instructions or regulatory requirements;

-Test report issued by a qualified laboratory;

-Prepare a draft certificate according to instructions or regulations.

3. Laboratory requirements:

-Having ISO17025 qualification;

-CNAS authorization and accreditation certificate is required;

-Once the laboratory does not have the authorization of the applied directive or regulation, the laboratory must provide a type approval issued by the EU Ministry of Transport based on the same directive or regulation as a basis, or

-Authorize engineers to witness.

4. Time:

-Conventional type approval: 15-20 working days;

-Urgent certification process: 2-3 days, additional charges apply.
