1. Elevator Consistency Assessment Procedure

1) If it is designed according to an elevator that has passed the EC type test described in Appendix V, the following procedures should be implemented during installation and testing:

The final inspection mentioned in Appendix VI, or

The quality assurance system mentioned in Appendix XII, or

The quality assurance system mentioned in Appendix XIV.

2) If it is designed according to an elevator that has passed the EC type test described in Appendix V, the following procedures should be implemented during installation and testing:

The final inspection mentioned in Appendix VI, or

The quality assurance system mentioned in Appendix XII, or

The quality assurance system mentioned in Appendix XIV.

3) If it is designed as an elevator with a quality assurance system implemented according to XIII and supplemented with design review, and if the latter refers to the design review not fully following the coordinated standards, it should supplement the following procedures during installation, construction, and testing:

The final inspection described in Appendix VI, or

According to the quality assurance system in Appendix XII, or

According to the quality assurance system in Appendix XIV.


Before being put on the market, elevators must go through one of the following procedures:

Alternatively, a standalone verification procedure conducted by the notified body in accordance with the provisions of Appendix X;

Alternatively, if the product has not been fully designed according to the coordinated standards, a design review has already been conducted in accordance with XIII's quality assurance system.


3. Consistency assessment procedure for relevant safety components

Before the safety components listed in Appendix IV are put on the market, the manufacturer of the safety components or their authorized representative established in the European Community must comply with:

EC type testing (i and ii) or comprehensive quality assurance system with quality control;

-Or submit samples of safety components required for EC type testing in accordance with Appendix V and product review by the notified body in accordance with Appendix XI;

-Or submit samples of the safety components required for EC type testing in accordance with Appendix V and for the review of the product's quality assurance system operation in accordance with Appendix VIII;

-Or operate according to the comprehensive quality assurance system in Appendix IX;

Attach the CE mark to each safety component and draft a statement of conformity that includes the information listed in Appendix II and considers the technical specifications provided in the relevant appendix (Appendix VIII, IX, or XI, as appropriate);

A copy of the conformity statement should be kept for 10 years from the date of completion of the last batch of safety components during processing.
